BOAT RENTAL

Below are listed the rules concerning boat rental from Copake Lake Boat & Ski Corp.

Drugs and/or alcohol are prohibited from being on the boat: Zero tolerance for boat drivers.

$500 deposit required. (will be charged at time of rental and refunded if rental is returned with no damages)

Renter is held financially responsible for any and all damage to the boat and for any damage they may cause in the course of the rental. Damage includes property and physical (person).

Deposit will be forfeited if during the rental period alcohol and/or drugs are found on the boat, if the driver appears intoxicated or if it witnessed that the boat is being operated in a reckless manner, as determined by Copake Lake Boat & Ski Corp. staff.

All New York State boating rules/regulations/laws are to be adhered to.

All Motorized Vessels: According to the New York State Parks and Recreation Government website "Persons may rent and operate a motorboat from a livery without first obtaining a boating safety certificate. Staff at the livery must provide basic instruction and safety information before you depart the dock." NY Boater Safety Course recognized by New York State's Brianna's law. All persons who wish to captain the vessel must be present for this instruction from one of our staff members, at our dock, before the rental starts. No person can operate a rental boat form Copake Lake Boat & Ski corp. without being present for these instructions.

No tubes or any other water-sports equipment shall be tow by a Copake Lake Boat & Ski Corp. rental boat.

Anyone operating a Copake Lake Boat & Ski Corp. boat must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license.

Daily rentals start anytime from 9:00am onward at your leisure. Regardless of pickup time, all rental boats MUST be returned by 4:30pm. No partial refund will be given for late arrivals.

Parking is limited. Your rental includes parking for 2 vehicles. Additional vehicles will be charged at $10 per vehicle.

By signing this agreement, the renter agrees to all of the above.
